The Maze

She is numb, unresponsive, she has allowed too much,
Dragged through the mud, she's had more than enough.
Life's lessons have delivered her to a new realization,
Her mistakes now causing her to become less patient.

Despite her best fight, the familiar continues to occur,
Lost with no resolution, she cannot make them deter.
Conscious of the above, she continues to follow this maze,
Left turn, right turn, can you help her find her way?

She has relentlessly requested for assistance with this,
Clearly, she must fight alone and single-handedly dismiss.
The warrior left speechless, the knight without her sword,
How can she find her most prized possession, the piano's last chord?

Dear reader, are you confused? Can you identify with this story?
Goodness, what will you do? You can't predict the usual glory.
The maze is full of roses and thorns she unfortunately looked past,
Thorns that have caused her to bleed, these thorns have blinded her past.

Scratching against her skin, yet she does not feel the pain,
Numb to the badgering, deaf to the melody, temptation she cannot restrain.
Her conscious and subconscious are constantly at war,
The music which always saved her has been muted furthermore.
