Expectations

Where did the time go? It’s passing me by so quickly,

Wishing it would slow down, before my mind starts drifting.

So many struggles but I refuse to give up,

Something is telling me to keep trying, I just might have some luck. 

I could see now the rain slowly drifting away,

Impatiently waiting to reveal a much brighter day. 

This path I was given I must be ready & prepared,

For what comes my way I will not be scared

In any way because that just means I might lose sight of my destiny.

Reflecting

Stuck in my mind with these wandering thoughts

Reflecting on where did you go? I’m almost feeling lost.

Seems like just yesterday but it’s been so much longer

When I continue thinking of you, I just begin to wonder

Was it the wrong time? Or was it right? 

I couldn’t seem to understand the plan I was wishing to unbind 

Still trying to keep it together as I walk down my path

Will it ever come to a time that it will last?

What happened after the day that we met? A smile wouldn’t leave my face

Just thinking of you now, that feeling does not seem to go away.
